In fact, it can be done in two different ways:

- Through a special applications.
This has multiple advantages, such as:
- The fact of being able to seal the stoppage by mobile whenever you want. Of course, on the exact day you must spend it, not a day before or a day after. But you have 24 hours to do it.
- Not having to travel to another place to pass the strike. You can do it from your home or from wherever you are since you will do it with a mobile device.
- It won't take long to do it. In fact, unless there is a connection problem or the page or application is down, it will not take more than 5 minutes to do it, and you may forget after all.
Step by step to seal the stoppage by mobile
Now that you have a bit of context, it's time we gave you the steps you need to complete to seal the mobile strike successfully. You must bear in mind that, to be able to do so, it is necessary to request it beforehand at the office, either at the same time you register as a job seeker or at any time you have time to stop by the office and have the managements.
And it is that, to be able to access to seal the unemployment by the mobile phone, some credentials are needed. These are simply a username and password, but they must be given to you at the office. In some autonomous communities they do allow, through a telephone call, to manage this procedure, but it is not usual.
You should also know that Each community has a web page or mobile application with which to carry out the process of sealing the unemployment by mobile. This must be informed at the time you request the credentials, where they will give you the page or app that you should use.
Thus, you will only have to:
- Access the website or app you need from your mobile.
- Enter the username and password that you have been given.
- Once done, you will be in the Employment Portal of your autonomous community and here, depending on the app or website, you will have to locate the section that serves to renew the job application. For example, in the case of Madrid, this would be in «Worker» «Employment demand services». Others are simpler and more intuitive since, using the app, they allow you to click on the area to renew unemployment without having to search for it.
What if I forget to seal the strike
The situation may arise that you forget to seal the strike. Although you have multiple ways to do it, it is inevitable that, because you have to seal it only every 3 months, you will miss doing it, unless you write it down in a place where it is sure that you will see it and remember it every day.
The problem is that if you forget it, you will have a hard time justifying it, and you can face penalties, especially if you are also collecting unemployment benefit.
Specifically, according to the SEPE regulations, the sanctions that will be imposed on you will be:
- If it is the first time, and you are also collecting unemployment benefit, you will lose one month of that benefit. If you forget yourself a second time, in that case you will lose three months of benefit. If it is the third, you will be penalized with 6 months of loss of benefit. And the fourth time, you will lose everything you have to collect from unemployment.
- In case you collect the Active Insertion Income, if you do not renew the job application, you will automatically lose the aid.
- There are only a few cases in which you can justify the delay in renewing unemployment, and these are:
- Due to illness, as long as you have a certificate of medical leave that justifies that problem.
- For public duty, that is, for having had to attend public events, such as a trial (as a jury).
- If you have training, that is, training courses. If they are courses carried out by the SEPE itself, in many communities your job application is suspended, that is, you do not have to renew it. But be careful, because you will not access job offers while the training lasts unless you specifically go and ask to be registered again.
