DARDE renovation

What is DARDE

Few people know that DARDE is the name given to the job application card, the one that gives you access, not only to the possibility of working, but also to obtaining aid and benefits.

If you want to know what DARDE is And above all, if you already have it how to renew it, then take a look at the information we have collected for you.

What is DARDE

The DARDE, better known as "Job demand" or the "role of unemployment", it is really the Document of Registration and Renewal of the Job Application. In other words, it is a document that It certifies that a person is unemployed and that they have signed up for the regional employment service to look for work. But it can also be with the aim of applying for aids, subsidies and benefits related to work (or the lack of it).

In Spain there is no single DARDE model, there are actually 17 different models, but almost all of them have the same basic information.

This is what it contains

Now that you know what DARDE is, you must know all the information that it carries inside. That is, everything that this unemployment card says about you. Because it is not only limited to giving coded numbers, no. Actually, it is much more practical. And it will have:

Personal information

As a job seeker, and in order to personalize the card, it will contain your personal data: full name, DNI or NIE and, in some cases, also the postal address. That is why they insist so much that, if you change your address (or any important information), you notify the office (or online).

Status of your job application

In this case, must leave if you are demanding a job (discharged) if you are on leave, or if you are on suspension (normally this status is the one used when you have to take a "compulsory" course, or you sign up for one related to the Ministry of Employment because they suspend your unemployment) .

Intermediation

This is not something common in many job applications or DARDES but if you live in autonomous communities such as Asturias, Madrid, La Rioja ... then yes you can find it. And what does it mean? Well, we are talking about two types of situations that can occur: one by making the Employment Service a mediator to find a job in the labor market (for this it will make you bring job offers, courses, personnel selections, etc); and another without you having that help, but because you are in a special situation that prevents you from accepting job offers at that time (sick leave, maternity convalescence ...).

Registration date

That is, the date when you registered, as well as how long you have been unemployed. It is very important because, after six months, you already have a way to prove that you are a long-term unemployed person.

Employment office data

That is to say, the place where you should go when you need to manage a procedure related to employment. Sometimes a phone, an email or the website also appears to do online procedures.

Renovations

The DARDE card is not a card that you take it out once and that's it. Not, You have to renew it periodically and the card itself specifies when you should do it. That day, you must go to the office, or do it online, so that it does not expire. More than anything because then you will have to take it out again and all the age you had you can lose.

How to get the DARDE

How to get the DARDE

Applying for the DARDE is not difficult. In fact, you would only have to register with the Autonomous Employment Service of your autonomous community to be signed up for unemployment. In this way, you will not only have the DARDE card, but you will also be able to request aid and unemployment benefits so that you do not run out of anything and cannot even eat.

Each autonomous community has its own employment service, and in each city there are several offices to go to, so it is best to take a look at their web pages and locate the one that corresponds to your address. When in doubt, you can always contact them for advice.

Ways to renew the DARDE

Ways to renew the DARDE

As we have mentioned before, the DARDE is an unemployment card that expires after a while. Normally, every 3-4 months you have to go to the office to “seal”, that is, to keep saying that you are unemployed and that you are looking for work.

It is not a procedure that takes more than five minutes (in fact, waiting for you to be attended to is what can be longer) which speeds things up a lot. But in reality, there are two ways to renew the DARDE:

  • In person. Going to your employment office, queuing to be treated and asking to be renewed. Sometimes, if you're lucky, some ask everyone who has come to renew their cards and they do it in a matter of minutes to speed up the queue and not have so much waiting.
  • By Internet. It is increasingly common for employment services to allow those who are unemployed to carry out the process of “sealing” (that is, the renewal of the DARDE) over the Internet. For this, many cards already have the way to do it enabled, either with codes, with numbers that must be entered, etc. It is a simpler way but also more impersonal, since for sure the employment service cannot know if the person really does it himself (or entrusts it to someone else), or if he is working but does not say so (and commits fraud if you are collecting a benefit).

What to do if I have lost my unemployment card

What if you know that you have to renew the DARDE but you have lost the card? In principle, as long as the "unemployment" renewal date has not passed, You can request a duplicate of your DARDE. You can do this through the Internet (in some Communities they do not have this service enabled), or by going to your employment office and asking them to give you a duplicate DARDE for loss of it.

It is also possible to request the duplicate by phone in some communities, such as Valencia.

What if I miss my DARDE renewal date

What if I miss my DARDE renewal date

Unfortunately if you do not go to the office, or renew the DARDE online on the agreed date, it will be canceled. Usually give 1-2 days of "grace" so you do not lose your privileges, Especially if you have been there for a while, but they will only do it once, since your goal is to be aware of going on that date to stamp the unemployment card.

If you don't, then you will be discharged, and that may affect the benefits you are receiving, for example for long-term unemployed.
