What is DARDE
The DARDE, better known as "Job demand" or the "role of unemployment", it is really the Document of Registration and Renewal of the Job Application. Personal information

Status of your job application
In this case, must leave if you are demanding a job (discharged) if you are on leave, or if you are on suspension (normally this status is the one used when you have to take a "compulsory" course, or you sign up for one related to the Ministry of Employment because they suspend your unemployment) .

Well, we are talking about two types of situations that can occur: one by making the Employment Service a mediator to find a job in the labor market (for this it will make you bring job offers, courses, personnel selections, etc); and another without you having that help, but because you are in a special situation that prevents you from accepting job offers at that time (sick leave, maternity convalescence ...).
Registration date
That is, the date when you registered, as well as how long you have been unemployed. It is very important because, after six months, you already have a way to prove that you are a long-term unemployed person.

Ways to renew the DARDE
As we have mentioned before, the DARDE is an unemployment card that expires after a while. Normally, every 3-4 months you have to go to the office to “seal”, that is, to keep saying that you are unemployed and that you are looking for work.
It is not a procedure that takes more than five minutes (in fact, waiting for you to be attended to is what can be longer) which speeds things up a lot. But in reality, there are two ways to renew the DARDE:
- In person. Going to your employment office, queuing to be treated and asking to be renewed. Sometimes, if you're lucky, some ask everyone who has come to renew their cards and they do it in a matter of minutes to speed up the queue and not have so much waiting.
- By Internet. It is increasingly common for employment services to allow those who are unemployed to carry out the process of “sealing” (that is, the renewal of the DARDE) over the Internet. For this, many cards already have the way to do it enabled, either with codes, with numbers that must be entered, etc. It is a simpler way but also more impersonal, since for sure the employment service cannot know if the person really does it himself (or entrusts it to someone else), or if he is working but does not say so (and commits fraud if you are collecting a benefit).
What to do if I have lost my unemployment card
What if you know that you have to renew the DARDE but you have lost the card? In principle, as long as the "unemployment" renewal date has not passed, You can request a duplicate of your DARDE. You can do this through the Internet (in some Communities they do not have this service enabled), or by going to your employment office and asking them to give you a duplicate DARDE for loss of it.
It is also possible to request the duplicate by phone in some communities, such as Valencia.
What if I miss my DARDE renewal date
Unfortunately if you do not go to the office, or renew the DARDE online on the agreed date, it will be canceled.
