Checking the unemployment benefit online is perhaps the best option you have. On the one hand, you don't have to reserve an hour and a day to go to the office without knowing what time you are going to leave there; for another, you don't have to be hanging on the phone all day to get them to answer you.
All you need is:
- Your digital certificate.
- Your electronic ID.
- Your password to enter the account.
- Have your mobile number updated in the SEPE.

- First of all, you have to access the SEPE page. we leave you here the link.
- Once inside, and in the upper part, on the right, you will see the social networks. A little more it will put "Spanish" and, just below, "Electronic Headquarters :)". Click there.
- It will take us to another option, to choose between whether we are people or companies.
- Click on people (or company, depending on who you are) and options will appear. On the one hand, on the left you have several icons where the first one that appears with a green background is Unemployment Protection. That means it is selected.
- On the other hand you have the right, which gives you several options. One of them is "Consult the data and receipt of your benefit." That is the one we are interested in so click on it.
- When you enter, it gives us two options, and the one that interests us is "Consult benefit".
- At this point you have two options. Either you do it with a digital certificate, electronic DNI or Cl@ve PIN, or simply with the mobile phone PIN.
What does the last one mean? Well, if you click on that button, they will ask for your ID and your mobile phone (you will also have to enter some security verification characters).
- If the mobile phone matches your SEPE file, you will receive an SMS in it where they will give you the password to access the benefit query.
- You simply have to enter that code on the screen that will have appeared when you have entered the previous data and click on the OK button.
- At that time, you will be able to see your entire file, from the pay slips that you were paid, your personal data, and, what interests you, if there are pending applications, if they have been accepted or if they have been denied.
Before we told you that you should not consult daily, but keep in mind that if they deny it or do not respond and you want to claim, you have limited time and it is important to have as many days as possible to do so.
